The International Seafarers Center (ISC) operates since 1983 and is a 501(3)c California non-profit welcoming all seafarers regardless of age, sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, or rank.  The ISC serves as a vital support & refuge hub for merchant seafarers, both men and women, who call at the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Guided by our core values we strive to maintain exceptional services, such as transportation, internet communications, emergency temporary housing & many more, that ensure seafarer well-being and align with the excellence of the entire San Pedro Bay port complex.

Position Filled:  Seafarers Van Driver with TWIC Card, W2 Part-Time to Full-Time Employee, Pay: $23/hr 

The International Seafarers Center of Long Beach and Los Angeles (ISC POLB/LA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a "home away from home" for merchant seafarers visiting the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. We offer essential services including recreation, personal care, and cultural enrichment to seafarers from around the world, recognizing their vital role in global trade. We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and empathetic Van Driver to join our team and provide critical transportation services to these often-isolated individuals.

Job Summary:

As a Van Driver for the International Seafarers Center, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of merchant seafarers to and from their vessels, the Center, and various essential destinations within the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. This role requires exceptional driving skills, a clean record, and a strong commitment to customer service and the well-being of our seafarer guests. You will be a vital link, offering a welcoming and helpful presence to individuals far from home.
